Well sometimes you get a bit surprised, so my beloved Sennheiser HD700 headphone headband is looking very sorry, so i gets on to Sennheiser and asks how much for a new one, now seeing as the HD700s were £500 a few years back I was expecting a minor bruising to say the least. How long have you had the headphones?
If they are within warranty that certainly is very good customer service and if they are out of warranty that's even better.

oh way out of warranty i bought them in 2015 and to be fair they have had a lot of use.
