I have just spent a little while on Grays website.

Is it not possible to buy from them over the internet or am I missing something?
 
There doesn't appear to be any way of buying on-line. Under "ordering information" it just mentions about telephoning, faxing, e-mailing or posting your order, but to be truthful I'd prefer to telephone if I couldn't make it in person.
 
No web shop, just phone, they are top class.
 
Top class maybe, but over the top prices as well and they arent the most helpful, they refused to tell me the age of a lens saying "its the condition what counts"

well im sorry Gray but i like to know if im buying something 1 year old or 10 year old and this alone cost them the sale of a 400mm f/2.8
 
If you are in London they are easy to get to from Victoria station. The problem with their second hand stock is it is often more expensive than what you can get elsewhere brand new!

^^^^ I agree - they did me a good deal on my 200/2.

Always fun to deal with the girls there too.
 
They don't always haggle.
 
Their warranty and service is, in my experience, excellent - but their prices are very high, often charging the same for second-hand equipment as it can be obtained elsewhere for new.

That being said, I don't think anyone has a wider range of second-hand Nikon stock.
