Yes
Just bought a Huion Graphics tablet, most of the experts seem to do their demonstrations with a tablet so thought I would give one ago. Certainly taking some getting used to.

Yep it does, I have a wacom but have not been using it as much as I would like to.

It might be worth putting away your mouse to get you to use the tablet.

I also picked up a tablet the other week - Wacom Intuos Pro (Medium).

It does take some getting used to, but I'm impressed so far. Feels much more natural, than with the mouse.

Apologies for the hijack, but does anyone have any recommended resources for setting them up with regards to shortcuts etc - particularly with Lightroom Cc? Workflow can be dramatically improved with the 'right' setup it seems.

I've had a tablet for years and only used it for specific tasks (drawing orientated) till fairly recently when I had problems with my hands and found using a mouse uncomfortable. As said, put the mouse away and just use the tablet. It's surprising how quickly you get used to it. Now the mouse feels odd.
I know nothing about setting one up as mine is ancient and has no shortcuts. Two configurable buttons on the pen - that's it.

I've had a tablet for a while now (Wacom Intuos Pro Large) and really struggling to get to grips with it. I use my mouse for normal day to day stuff and the tablet for image editing but try working something like the pen tool is a bloody nightmare. I can never select the anchor points and end up starting a new path. I just find it far to sensitive and near on impossible to be pin point accurate.

With a mouse I can position it over a point and click but with the pen by the time I've moved my finger or dropped the ben onto the tablet the damn thing has moved.

If anyone wants a Huion then I'm prepared to let mine go. Bought it after watching a mate whizz through his processing. Guess I'm just one of those who can't get on with it.

Hey guys.
I am wanting to get one for my Partners daughter's birthday.
She mainly likes to illustrate, and draw anime scenes.

Do you have any recommendations.

My Huion as above is still sitting here doing nothing. I'm happy to let it go.
Its a good bit of kit but just doesn't suit my style.

You could, but it's tools for the job. It's not meant as a replacement.
Use it for when you need to, those fine editing jobs, use the mouse in it's usual fashion, then you have the best of both worlds.

Put it in the classifieds before the mods spot you selling out of classifieds ;)

Another good idea is to download freemake video downloader, then you just copy and paste the youtube URL into this and you have your video to keep, saves keep looking for them on you tube :)

Tablets can take quite a while to get used to, but if you can persevere with them they are a great tool, probably one of the best things is the pen pressure facility, which you just don't get with a mouse, it's a massive advantage when your doing things like retouching and airbrushing

I actually had an intuos 4 then upgraded to an intuos pro, which was no real advantage, I would go so far as to say it was probably a disadvantage why ? well because the main advantage of the pro is the ability to touch control with your fingers on the pad, something I've never used in photoshop or lightroom, and quite honestly I can't see why I will ever need to, another advantage of the intuos 4 over the pro is with the 4 you can change the pad cover yourself, as eventually they do wear out, you can buy them for about £12 and just peel the old one off and replace, you can't do this with the intuos pro because it is touch controlled, so you have to send it to Wacom, and no doubt it will cost you more than £12, another mistake I made was buying a medium sized one, there is no need they just take up more space, and because I have mine screen mapped to a small area I don't use the whole of the tablet anyway.

Just a few pointers to anyone thinking of buying one :)
