Beginner GPS Sensor for Nikon D850

I'm looking for some advice if possible.
I'm thinking of getting a GPS sensor for my D850. The Nikon ones are GP-1 and GP-1A but these appear to be discontinued. Are Nikon making a new model or is there an alternative I can use?

I think a way round it might be a Nikon smartphone app - lets you use your smart phone as a remote trigger and I believe geotag images,
