Yes
I have had my GP4 for a few days, started with some Motorbike footage, so couldn't here clicking because of engine noise,
so just tonight tried it in car and when editing in WMM and GOPRO STUDIO the dreaded clicking started on video, before buying read lots of reviews and only a handful of people mentioned the clicking, spoke to guy in Currys where bought from, and he said it was only on early GP4 this happened on.
So took the plunge and low and behold clickety click,
Is there a fix for click or is it a return job,
really gutted, other than clicking was happy with results.

I'd take it back. If they offer a replacement then Id check that one out, if you can, before leaving the store

What's this, do you mean the 'helicopter sound' when wifi is on?
Or is it the camera rattling in the case.
A tiny bit of foam in the case might help, or buy one of the frame cases from ebay for when sound is important.

My first hero4 did the wifi noise but it wasn't noticeable in most recordings, however I had big problems with wifi shutting off after a couple of minutes then refusing to link until re-paired over and over.
After a month or so they replaced it and the new one doesn't seem affected by noise when wifi is on either.

Yep, it's the camera moving in the case, I swapped cases with a mate who had one that clicked and it didn't click in my case

I swapped camera over today, I tested it in car same noise as before, took it around garden not as much clicking but still clicking all the same, this is with case on,
Also tried with case off and no noise, does the camera really rattle that much in case or am I missing something,
Not sure now whether to take this one back or not, for the money it doesn't really come up to scratch, with the faults with it in case.

It's not really a fault, the sound is always going to be poor with it in the case.
Most of the time you don't hardly need that bulky case anyway.
Look at a frame like this and if worried about the lens a clear filter like this.
You'll probably end up wanting a surprising number of bits and pieces for the gopro.

There are some bumper packs of accessories are quite good value compared to buying things separately.

I'd suggest -
At least two extra batteries
Selfie stick - no really - telescope into a short handle much easier to keep it steady and good for near to the ground or above heads in a crowd.
Some kind of strong clip mount. These can be clipped to yourself or other things - best all-round option.
Lapel style external microphone
Alternative case with cut outs for mic plug
Handlebar type mount - these will also fit on car mirrors or grab rails.

Thanks I have ordered frame,
I am still puzzled by what causes noise in the case, as all I seem to have read it
is caused by wi fi switched on, which I had switched off, now it seems to be the case,?
What is the best set up for motorbike.

What is the best set up for motorbike.

Probably mounted on the chin piece of the helmet.
Fixed on the bike vibration will be an issue and you'd need think about removing it every time you stopped.
A lot of modern helmets are rather too pointy at the front but it can be done with an extra piece and put sticky mount a bit to one side..
Chin mount is better if you get the urge to have a mic inside the helmet - this is the best place for sound without much wind anyway even if you practically never talk.
The small microphones can be tucked behind padding and still work OK
This one plugs straight in the mini USB without adapter (but means it can't be used with much else)

Settings wise 1080p and 60fps, It gets very hot on 4K in the case and uses battery 2x faster.
When rendering later you can output at 30fps and have option to slow short bits down with good quality.
There's no need to have it on PAL it just restricts the frame rate options. Even if you watch it on TV modern TVs play either format.
Protune is recommended but you can end up needing to do a lot of tweaking. It will do just fine 90% of the time with protune off all auto especially using it on your bike where light constant changes dramatically.

I mainly use a Drift Ghost HD on my helmet, however you can get a case with a cut out for the microphone slot.
This case fits Hero4 (with cut outs)
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00RROBX4Y
You need a microphone out of the wind blast to get anything worthwhile be it engine noise or voice.
The Hero4 video is much better than Ghost HD - I may change over at least if on a more scenic run.

Thanks appreciate your help,
Have tried other options with GoPro and what I can see it is vibrations, been using sucker mount skeleton back in car with only minimal clicking when going over rough road surface, I will post up some bike footage tonight,
Is there a way to turn off sound only found how to turn off beeps.

I don't think so, but it's easy to mute or reduce volume when editing.
