GoPro Editing Jumpy

Hi,

When I do video playback of anything above 720p on my computer the footage is always jumpy. This is in the GoPro app or when the files have been copied to the computer. I've read that it's because my computer can't handle it etc however I've recorded 1080p at 30fps on my compact and the footage plays fine even off of the memory card in the computer. Can anyone assist with this?

Can I still edit the footage and it'll play fine after it's been fully edited?

The computer is a late 2011 MacBook Pro i5 with HD3000 Intel graphics.

It may very well be the laptop. Whats the spec on the Compac you are using.. Have you tried importing the footage onto the Mac and then use iMovie to play it. Does this make any difference

I've not tried that yet however I've read it's to do with the compression of the codec and to convert it first using some program (can't remember the name). I'll give that a go when I have a moment however my laptop at the very least meet the min specs required for it so it should work.
