Just a quick post about another cool way to waste more time from our overlords at google.
There is a new tab on google maps called "my maps", this allows you to enable content overlays on the map.
One cool tool can show little thumbnail images from peoples picasa accounts that have been tagged with place names and overlay them at that location!
The "Dig a hole through the Earth" is a fun little tool, place the first cursor at one location and it'll point you to where you will come out if you dig down!
Hit add content and you can choose from a load of 3rd party toys too.
The final time waster has been around longer, get to it by going to the .com site (http://maps.google.com/) and clicking "street view" in the top right of the map, now zooming into a city and clicking on a blue road you can see 360deg images taken from street level.
have fun, I just spent 3 hrs playing with the map content tools(toys)!
