Google Calendar on Android and how to sync with another Android phone?

I wonder if other Android users can throw some light on this?

I have been using Calendar on my phone and now having bought a new phone the one thing that did not sync auto-magically during the set up and restoring was Google Calendar.

Having searched, I can see mention of setting "sync" in the Calendar App but (and the app is up to date) I cannot see any setting for or about 'Syncing'.

Therefore, just how could I go about syncing the populated calendar on the old phone to the new phone

Panic over

I have two Calendar accounts on the old phone and only one(the default) on the old phone.................added the other account to the new phone and all is well.

PS part of the process was to confirm on the old phone that 'it was me making the changes'. So when I retire the old phone what is the best way to finalise i.e. what process is needed, as I might make changes on the new phone to its setup, that will no longer require me to 'confirm on the old phone' those changes
