Found this forum a few days ago...so here goes.
My name is Barry I live in NW London.....and I am an alcoholic....sorry wrong place.
I have been interested in photography for a long time...thanks Dad.
Started off with a Topcon 35mm SLR, then onto Olympus OM1N and a OM10 plus various lens.
Then photography seemed to be forgotten for a long time until the start of the digital age.
I jumped in with an Olympus C840....I think.
Easter 2005 I decide another step needed to be taken, so Canon 300D which then necessitated more lenses (Canon 28-90, Sigma 70-300-Canon 50mm 1.8 and a Sigma 10-20).
5th April this year some scumbag broke into our house and stole all this equipment and more.
So.......Mums friends sells me his Nikon D200 and insurance money allows me to purchase Nikon 18-70, Nikon 70-300 VR, Tamron 90 and Sigma 10-20 plus a Nikon Speedlite SB800.
And to make matters interesting Police recover most of the stolen gear.
I consider myself an average photographer with lots still to learn.....but that's the fun.
