Does anyone have a link or 2 to any sites that have some guides for processing portraits past the obvious removal of spots and blemishes.

Im just after some ideas for different colour processing. Ive seen a type of style pretty common in magazines these days where its a very flat grey backdrop, evenly lit, overly smoothed skin tones on the model type of style that i wouldnt mind trying to replicate. I cant find any google examples to link to so hopefully someone knows what im talking about :D

But just having a few post processing "how to's" would be handy to know.

they dont look plastic, thats just it. This isnt the effect of some chimp mashing the buttons in protrait professional. They just look like perfectly evenly lit human beings. Its just a really nice effect that i want to rip off :D

Look for Gry Garness and Natalia Tafferal - both do DVD's. Have not seen Natalia's who seems to have a different work-flow to Gry but have seen some of her tutorials. Might also be worth spending some time in the image processing section of the Model Mayhem forums, some of the work there is absolutely stunning.

cheers for that, defenitly a couple of good starting points :)
