I bought some items from Dzone2 which arrived no problem. My only issue with them is that they now spam my inbox with frequent sales blurb despite several polite (and not so polite) requests for them to stop.

I'm looking for a shoulder set up too at the moment. I've come across this, and for the price I think it may be worth a go. My question is - can anybody see anything drastically wrong with this, i.e why it wouldn't be any good/prevent camera shake.

I'm split between forking out more for a more complete set up with follow focus etc. (as posted by mdollan above), or going cheaper. I'm doing more and more video and there is only so much that can be successfully done with a tripod!

it's cheap and plasticy, but will be by far better than nothing. I've held, but not used, one before, seemed like it'd be kinda useful, especially for the price...

It does look fairly useful, I just wonder if a more complete set will be a better investment. I'm possibly doing up to 11 video projects this year for work, the more I think about it the more I think a bit of investment will do me better in the long run.

Has anybody used this one before? link

I don't want to go gear mad and wonder if this is a bit too much. I think I need to follow somebody around on a DSLR video shoot to get a better idea of how things work for others... any volunteers?!

This is the one I want....
