Hi ya

im soon going to be looking at getting an off camera flash for my canon 40D and wondered what flash guns you can recomend , i was thing around the £100 to £150 sort of price range but would also like recomendations above this price if you think there worth the money , as i could just save up a bit longer for one as i want one that will last me and not need upgarding in a year or so

thanks in advance

Kev

Well, MPB have the 430 EXII second-hand for £170. That's an excellent flash that should last you a long time. If it's too expensive then they also have the 420 EX for £110. Again, it should last you a log time.

If you're going to use the flash off-camera on a set of triggers then the maker is immaterial, you can use Nikon flashes, such as the older SB24,25 etc.

On the other hand, if you're planning to use a TTL cord then the best flash with your budget is probably the 430EXII - Kerso is the man to speak to for a new one of those at the best price
