Morning all
Hope the day finds you well and hopefully camera in hand and thoughts turned to photography
Having just joined a little introduction to myself . I'm a Solihull based amateur photographer . If I say that photography is a safety valve on life for me you won't be surprised when I tell you that my preferred subject matter is Railways and especially steam locomotives. Current camera is a Fuji HS30 EXR
My first camera was when I was 11 and I've been a keen but not always competent photographer ever since although I think I've got better with age ! My work occasionally features in the railway press notably Heritage Railway Magazine and Steam Railway plus others . My gallery is on Flickr and for any social media users I can be found on Facebook . I also organise occasional photography days on Britain's preserved railways under the 30742 Charters banner. The days are not for profit and if the moderation team are ok I'll share event details in the relevant section
My style is that the camera is a tool to capture the things the best camera of all (our eyes) see. Images are thought about and planned with a focus on light, location and locomotive all with the added magical ingredient which is often a degree of luck . I enjoy looking at others images and dissecting what makes them work and seeing what I can learn from them
Any questions please ask
