Hello,

I am new to this forum..Im trying to seek advice on which camera to buy...

Ive been using a Fuji FinePix S5700..Yes, its not top of the range but to get into photography i felt thats all i needed.

Now i am into photography and really enjoy it. I am looking to purchase a better SLR camera.

As i have allready said i am looking for one that produces good macro effects as ive heard some arent so good.

Ive been looking at the Nikon D40 and Canon EOS 400D.

I like the look of both but am unsure whether to choose one of them or look into different cameras.

I am looking for a camera priced about £300-£400 obviously can got a little over but not to much:'(

Although im pretty sure that kinda of price can get me a pretty decent camera :)

I hope!

Anyway..

Reply as soon as possible..its coming up to my birthday pretty soon

Thanks,dave493

You'll need a dedicated macro lens or extension tubes to be able to focus close.

Ahhhhh ok...Thanks for the help

my Fuji FinePix S5700 coped well with both..

is it a diffrent story for SLR's?

could you quickly explain extenstion tubes?

Thanks,dave0493
