GOING TO SMASH IT UP

Having bought a 2007 Canon ipf6100 I'm having difficulties connecting it to my Apple Macbook air.

It uses 'Apple Talk' to connect to computer via USB, i cannot find the option to turn it on in 'preferences' on my macbook air?

Help before i smash it all up...:bang::bang::bang:

A bit of research shows that Apple stopped support for Apple Talk in OS 10.6. I've tried to find a work around but no luck. You could try calling Apple Support and see if they have any idea

Look on canon's site to see if there are updated drivers for it that don't use appletalk.

Boom....

i got it, i rang Canon and they sent me the driver for OS X 10.7... i was shocked they helped me out as the printer is four years old...

A massive well done to Canon and thank you guys too.
