Very new to this so be gentle!

Used to enjoy playing with macro stuff with my old point and click - this sort of thing -

Anyway I’ve bought a grown up camera now! I’ve got a UK spec Pentax *istDL and its bundled 18-55mm lens

Happy with it but Id love a macro lens for going real close. Trouble is I’m finding it a but confusing. What lens fitting I need, what focal length etc.

Can someone tell me what I should go for (i.e. a specific model rather than a general pointer)

Macro shots would be close stuff (1 foot away and less) and doesn’t need to be multi function - can be just macro.

I don’t want to spend much money so a cheapie make please. Can I get something for under £200?

Thanks for any help!

Dom

Not 100% sure if they make it to fit your camera but that's easily checked - I know the Sigma 105mm is highly rated by many on here so that could be worth you looking into. We do have one or two pentax users on here and they will obviously be able to give you better advice than others.

Oh - and WELCOME TO TP!!
