Godox Witstro AD360II

Hi,

Apologies if this has been covered before but after a quick search of this board I couldnt find anything.

Ive just bought the Witstro AD360ii (the TTL version). I currently control my speedlights with the YN622 triggers and a 622TX controller - I shoot Nikon. Will these work with the new Godox flash and will I still be able to use HSS. Was going to buy the Godox trigger but if I can get away with the system I already have it seems pointless.

Will I have still have full control over the flash power like I do with my speedlights?

Yes you can trigger the AD360II with the YN622 and use HSS as long as you press the buttons on the flash unit to switch on HSS mode.

Just to be clear (and I'm probably being a doofus here lol) is that the buttons on the actual flash unit or the TX controller. I havent got the flash yet but if the instructions that come with the flash are similar to the ones I received with the triggers I can picture me scratching my head quite a bit....

You have to press and hold the Mode and Set buttons at the same time on the back of the AD360 to enable the HSS mode, you can't do it via the TX unit.

Because this is a TTL flash and you are using the 622 which is a TTL receiver it should automatically go in to HSS mode, the 2 button push is for the manual version, but I will check that as I have gone across to the X1 trigger from Godox which makes things so much better

You dont ned the reciever, its built in with the MkII

Less kit to carry and from the same manufacturer so less chance of issues
