I normally use either on camera flash, or off camera flash with trigger... today I tried combining the two using the V860II in radio commander mode; it works great but I couldn't get HSS to function on either the V860 or the AD200 it was controlling. If I took the V860 out of commander mode it would fire in HSS, and if I used a separate trigger the AD200 would as well; just not together.

I've checked the manual and didn't find anything... does anyone have experience with this? Am I doing something wrong?

There are some features of Godox speedlites and transmitters that aren't explained very well in their manuals. Sorry, but I have neither of those flash units to try to duplicate your problem, so I can't be of much help.

One surprise that I had with my X Pro transmitters is that if I set them up for more than 5 control groups, that I loose the ability to set any group for TTL. Set the transmitter for 5 groups max and TTL becomes available. High Speed Sync has it's quirks too, but I do mostly studio work and haven't used HSS much.

I hope someone else can be of more help to you. It can be frustrating. I went totally Godox/Flashpoint 3 years ago, because of the improved reliability, but still get frustrated when situations like this arrise.
