Worth buying?

I'm going to Dubai in march, and looking for a camera. Been swayed on the idea of a go pro hero 4 but need to know people's opinions on them.

I'll be selling two of my nikon lens to pay for the go pro, so want to make sure I'm making the right decision.

If you're looking for action shots then definitely. But as a general camera to film your holiday you're better off getting a point and shoot. The warp on the GoPro's wide angle can be off putting, but it's all a matter of opinion.

I do want to use it for things like a skydive after my holiday and mountain biking etc

Then go for it! I think they will be releasing the newer model soon as it's been nearly a year since release.

You can get cheap accessories off amazon.

Just a heads up, some places like skydiving companies won't let you use it. They will want you to buy their footage.

Bit the bullet and boufht one, should be here monday. Cant wait :)

Currently running i5 with 4gb ram but a new pc is on my list for payday :)

Hope you have an up to date PC . Gopro 4 = big files . I had to get myself a new faster PC....:)
Really?
Thought it maxed out at 60 Mbps? Sounds low end for a video camera.

I use protune ,correct me if i'm wrong but i believe protune is similar to RAW in the photo world ,hence the big files, and a bit more control over the settings .

Got one, well impressed with it. Superb bit of kit
