Gloves for wildlife photographers please

Just done a quick search as I was almost certain this would have been asked before, but found nothing so here goes!
My husband needs windproof gloves with fingers, that are thin enough to do all he needs to his camera without pressing 3 buttons at once!
Everything I've seen in shops is too thick, and with those online it's hard to tell.
So please can anyone recommend me some in time for Christmas please!

I find my Endura Deluge Cycling Gloves quite good for togging in the cold.

They're designed to be able handle the bike safely and effectively (braking, changing gears etc) whilst protecting you from the cold, so thought they'd work well with my camera. And they do!
 
What about shooting gloves ... fold back mitten top, complete glove when waiting and opens up for action.

There is another thread similar to this elsewhere on TP where someone has recommended leather pilots gloves. I chased a pair on ebay and they went to someone else for £33.

Apparently they are warm to wear and allow for sensitive hand and finger movements.
 
Thank you everyone for your suggestions - I will check everything out now I'm back. At this rate I will get some for myself as well!

You will find pretty well all the options available to your there in one form or another.

I personally use the Lowe Pro and the North Face E-Tip. I came to the conclusion that nothing is going to be supple enough and warm in the lowest temperatures. I use the e-tip as an inner glove and take off the outer when shooting.

I was the summit of a local Munro (Buchaille) the other day and the wind chill was -22, I don't think any glove would help and be able to use the camera in this temperature.

There are some Polartec - Wind Pro gloves, with grip on the fingertips, used by top landscape photographers in sub zero temperatures. bit pricey though @ £20 but they do the job !
 
The only thing with the Lowepro gloves - don't use them for anything else except photography (e.g. don't drive a car with them) otherwise you run the risk of wearing down the rubber bobbles, which will reduce their effectiveness for handling cameras.
 
I've got the Sealskinz Ultragrip glove - http://www.sealskinz.com/gloves/ultra-grip-gloves - and find there is insuficient feel in the finger tips for my tastes. I've been wondering about chopping off just the ends of the forefinger and thumb, or maybe cutting halfway through so that I can peel back the ends, but I haven't been brave enough yet to start destroying them.
 
You ought to see what suits you best but shooting gloves come in a million and one varieties including thick polartec lined fold back flaps which then leave all your fingertips exposed, neoprene ones and thin leather ones with a slit to push the tip of your index finger through.

Right now for rifle shooting and photography I'm using some equestrian gloves, very tight fit (ooh matron!), synthetic thin leather palms, velcro wrist adjustment and a knitted synthetic back. Lots of feel and fairly windproof.
 
I use shooting mitts. The only problem with them is that the thumb isn't exposed when you pull back the mitt section. However the work around is easy enough and when you pull the mitt section back over your fingers they soon warm up. I've used these in -7C temperatures and found them to be fine.
