Welcome to Somerset once you get here!

As for landscapes I would first off look at a few national trust places as there are a lot of nice grounds and buildings about but can be pricey if your not a member!

Landscapes :
Corfe Castle
Stourhead
Sturminster Newton Mill
Durdle Door
Stembridge Tower Mill
Gold hill
Glastonbury tour :D

Wildlife:
Shapwick Heath
Grey lake
Radipole lake
Ham wall

Just a few off the head but most can be found on RSPB or National trust

Well been down here few days now and yesterday I decided to climb Brent knoll so got up early (ish) checked camera and cards and batteries and set off stopped off at paper shop in village and got water and mars bar (as you do ) and asked directions so was told by friendly old lady and also she said would be a bit blowy up there today so off I set like Sherpa tensing onwards and upwards and upwards and upwards stop to admire the view ( and a breather) then carried on until I reached the top and yup she was rite was blowing a hooly up there BUT boy was it worth the climb oh yes the views were absolutely breathtaking so if you ever decide to come down this way ( brean/ burnham on sea / and you see the hill please go and climb it and be prepared to be blown away (literally) by its amazing breathtaking stunning views

Brean Down & Dunster Castle are worth a visit.

Cheddar Gorge is great plenty to do and well worth Walking up Jacobs Ladder to the tower. If you turn left at the top and walk round you get a great view of the whole gorge. The Caves are also good got some great shots in their with ambient lights off the water in places - there's Bats down there so they ask you not to take flash pictures
