Just wondering if anyone here has or is doing this course?

If anyone has done it, what is your opinion of it? Was it a worthwhile course?

I am very interested in it, they require that you put a portfolio together, what do they look for in the portfolio?

Thanks.

At a guess this is an advanced course and they expect you to have a portfolio that expresses your work, i.e. samples of your best work.

I would suggest the Glasgow Met for a photography courses. NQ or HND. I'm doing the HND there right now.

That is another one I have been considering.

How is the course? They also require a portfolio for the HND, what sort of thing do they look for?

I really like the sound of this course though, so this would be my first choice I reckon. Going to the open day at the Met to see what it is like anyway.

Your portfolio they want to see basically 3 things.

1) Creativity
2) Some form of techinical knowledge
3) Ambition / enthusiasm / drive

In the form of photos obviously. I would say 15-20 photos max.

Slightly OT, but the Glasgow School itself is fabulous. Bit of a Rennie McIntosh fan myself and my Wife and I toured round the buildings last year. Really great.

Ive applied there this year for first and second year, whichever im accepted into.

Ive just about finished with the met HND course -although ive learnt alot there its not as great as it sounds.

What did the HND consist of? Was it mostly theory, or practical and what equipment did you have access to/required to own?
