I've only just seen this, but Gitzo is offering up to £100 cash back if you trade in a tripod/head for almost any one of theirs .

The offer is valid until 31/1/2001.

Looks like a good deal. Need to read the T&Cs - you must trade in similar item type to what you are buying.

It simply means that if you're buying a tripod and head then you need to trade-in a tripod and head. You can't trade-in, for example, a monopod against a tripod....

OK then, £10 from lidl......

This has got to be a good deal for someone who's hankering after a new tripod, but can't QUITE justify the price of a Gitzo
