Gitzo GT1540F Series 1

Hi all,

I usually use 7D with battery grip... with my maximum weight lens is 70-200 f4L IS
Can anyone answer me that if Gitzo GT1540F Series 1 is enough for my kit? Do I need a larger size (series2)?

Never used a 1540F - but it's rated at 8 kilos just like my 1541 Mountaineer. That has no problem holding a D3S and 70-200.

I'll bet it will be fine with your Canon gear. Gitzo tend to underestimate what their tripods can hold. Unlike most manufacturers....

Get a decent head with it, arguably more important than the tripod, and you should be fine.
