I've just bought a MTL8351B with MH5001 head and going well with it except for carrying it - I'm currently using a bag from a different manufacturer and can't fit the head in whichever angle I arrange it at, as the handles are too wide for the bag and I can't zip it up.

The appropriate Giottos AA1252 Bag claims to have room for any head but the salesman I spoke to on the phone didn't seem wholly convinced that this was the case for the MH5001 head, as the bag didn't seem to be wider at either end.

Can anybody confirm for me whether the MH5001 head fits in that bag or not?

Thanks

Hi
I've got the Giottos MTL9361B with the MH5001 head.
I emailed Giottos and they told me to get the AA1253 bag. I did and it fits perfectly with plenty of room for the head.
Don't forget when putting tripod into bag that one of the handles unscrews and screws into the thread on the back of the other handle.

Maybe a little off topic but i bought a manfrotto bag today - it's much wider at one end than the other to accomodate the head.

Thanks Deano, I didn't realise that about the handles, by doing that the head now fits in the bag I have!

But is the Giotto bag big enough that I wouldn't have to do that with the handles?
