GIMP or Elements?

I'm currently using GIMP with a RAW plug-in but was wondering if anyone would recommend getting Elements?

If you'd recommend getting Elements, what can it do that GIMP cannot? What additional tools are there in Elements?

Any advice or pointers would be great.

Both programs have pros and cons, your best bet is to download the trial of elements and see how it works for you. Theres very little gimp can't do but that doesn't mean it's not quicker and easier in something else.

I was on GIMP for a year and when i finally got Elements 8 i wondered why i wasted my time so long on GIMP, seeing is believing and believe me you'll see !

I have used elements for years but always kept an eye on the Gimp and although can do pretty well that Elements can the user experience of Elements is so much smoother and easier
