I am considering making this trip tomorrow dependant on a couple of things happening later

My question is the best place to be, Gateway hide?

any other tips would be appreciated

Hi Dave I bumped into someone the other day at Stover park and he said they just stood by the gate

Its a bloddy long way from here so thinking want to make the most of the day ;)
 
Depends what shots you want, if you want great Ariel shots the the tall hide near the gate is good, think its dear to go in that though, ground food grab shots one of the lower hides as your pretty much level with them, anyway you can move from hide to hide we did, the kites come in 2 or 3 or more flushes, so dont leave after the first frenzy, as theyll be back some time lots more than the first flush, the kites were still returning after an hour to feed, youll get great shots whatever, look forward to seeing your shots, forgot to say the white kite is probably last to feed so keep your eyes peeled for him :thumbs:

I like the Gateway hide and even got some good airiel shots from it.

I have taken the next level up (can't remember the name) mid price range and was great for arial shots.

I would book one first thing as at this time of year they can get full early. School hols and all that.

Stay late some the best shots are when the grouds go and you seam to get more time taking them. We found these times the best for the white kite. There are two now and hopefully you will get them. The younger one has no tags.

That will be the tall hide, nearest the gate, (most expensive and usually reserved for photographers :thinking: )(well thats what it says) LOL, name escapes me also,
 
They are the Tower hides, Tower and Big tower hide ;)

Well looks like we are off leaving approx 6am :(:)
