GGS screen protectors

I have one like that on my D700. Works fine.

I'll be interested to see your review, Stuart.

Cheers..always wanted something other than the clear plastic nikon one but didnt fancy putting anything self adhesive over the screen.Saw these on amazon and noticed they are just clip on,well main one is.Looks very nice and slightly slimmer than the nikon one.Gets good reviews but did see one that mentioned it scratched easily.Should be here by the weekend so will let you know my thoughts and post few pics up of it on the camera.:)

My review on the D700.

Easily fitted.
Easily removed should dirt get underneath.
Protects the screen well
Good clarity of image.

Did you use the viewfinder one and top lcd one as well? I presume these are self adhesive type.

Yes standard stick on type.

Cheers.Looking forward to getting it.I hate the clear plastic ones.

:lol:No mate especially when they get swirls etc on them. What are these like to keep clean?

I choose the adhesive one over the clip-on screen because I found that the main screen can get scratched with any trapped dust that manage to get under the cover.

I had one on my Canon 500D, I loved the fact that it covered and protected the eyepiece as well as the rear screen.

I've used GGS screen protectors on all my camera's since I discovered them, not had an issue so far

does the clip-on version seal the edges and stop dust from getting under the cover?

Pretty easy with a wet lens cleaner cloth. The worst thing for me is dried sweat usually.

I haven't had to remove it in over a year.

Sounds promising!..mines winging its way from abroad but should be here soon.

Well it arrived today and have to say really impressed! Fits very snug and has a much slimmer profile to the point it almost doesnt look like you have a protector on.It wraps around the edges nicely so I would say very very slim chance of anything getting behind it dust etc.The top lcd one was just a simple self adhesive type but again marries up perfect and doesnt even look like it has one over it.Not put the view finder one on yet,not sure if I will tbh.For under a tenner well worth a look if your looking to get a new one or just replace the horrid looking nikon one.

Not tried the clip on versions but I have to say I've been very pleased with the self adhesive ones so far. My D700 had one, My D300 has one and my X100. You really can't tell they're there.

I knew you would like it.

:D Yeah they really are nice.I was a little wary of going for the self adhesive rear protector tbh only because knowing me I would put it on wonky
I then saw this new clip on version and had to give it a try.Glad I did.;)

not sure mate I got mine from amazon through best deal uk

Your welcome can be had for about £8 on ebay as well:thumbs:

Just got ordered one from Amazon hope I put it on straight when it comes lol

Very impressive. I was looking at the first image and thinking before/after but where is the after photo. Looked again and realised that the photo is the after.

;)Yep hardly notice its on there and wraps right around the screen!.Really does look very nice on the camera.

I had the GGSIII for my D90 for a couple of years. You won't even know its there it looks so OEM, the black surround matches the camera body perfectly. I did manage to scratch it somehow. I've kept it even though I've sold the D90 as it fits the D7000 as well (not perfect but good enough). The GGSIII for the D7000 covers the viewfinder as well which isn't great.

Yep, as per the picture in the link the cover slides over the viewfinder creating another layer which I've read causes vignetting in the viewfinder.
