How much would it cost to have someone build your website?

If you have all the information and just dont know about the technical side of things!

For a photography website i mean!

i bought a website in abox and its great, have a lot of templates, colours etc and is easy to set up and you get website name and attached email addresses. all for the bargin price of £20

would recommend this as a way to go without a second thought. its from a company called Mr site, and you can pick it up at staples for the bargin price of £15 at the moment.

have done my site from this and think it serves the purpse at the minute and am always changing items etc just by logging onto the site

Sounds interesting, the PRO package looks interesting for my own needs and as a one-off payment isn't bad (£99). I currently use Clikpic but would like to be able to customise things a little more, does it seem very flexible re content/layout etc ?

thanks

Simon

Same as everything really, if you want it done bespoke then you pay for it. For a photography website with which you had an idea of what you wanted you'd probably be looking at around £200 for a basic site done especially for you. I.e. no templates

This would rise quite dramatically if you wanted any fancy features, but with a bit of work you could quite easily do this yourself for very little. All depends what your after!

All depends on what you want and who you get to do it, having a proper web design firm to create your website will not be cheap but say having a avid freelance web designer do it would be a lot cheaper. It all depends on how big your budget is and what presence you require from having a website, are you a business? or is it just for personal?

At the end of the day you get what you pay for

hi have a look at my site amzy... just got my own webspace (£27 per yr)
and put the software (exhibit engine .. (free))on it may be what your looking for?
website .. http://philrainford.co.uk
any queries please pm me
(im not affiliated with the soft ware just works well for me )

I normally charge about £300-400 depending on what kind of gallery features you need

Ahh I will say is you get what you pay for.

Exactly, it all depends on what your budget is and whether you want your website to be unique.

Sure you can sign up to Clickpic, download free templates or whatever but your website will most likely be very similar to thousands of other people.

If I were you (OP), i'd figure out exactly what the website is going to be used for, target market and so on so your website can be designed accordingly.
