getting the best possbile scan from a Canon Canoscan 5000f???

Hi,

anyone used/ have a Canon Canoscan 5000f who have scanned 35mm negatives? I'm not quite pleased with my scans: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wilbertlati/sets/72157623252064612/

Any tips/ things to look at for when these flatbed scanners?


I was tempted in buying the scanner after seeing scans from user 'Rolf F.'
