After years with DSLR I’m moving to mirrorless AND changing brands.
My Canon R7 and 18-150 is on order and I’m now thinking about UWA.

I’ve used a Sigma 10-20 on my APS-C Pentaxes.
What for Canon?

I know I need an adapter so two questions:

Which adapter.
There are two, one being twice the price. Benefits? What about 3rd party?

Which UWA?
Seems to be 3 options
Sigma 10-20 again.
Canon EF-S 10-22
Canon EF-S 10-18

The 10-22 and Sigma are similar size and weight; the 10-18 is smaller and lighter but possible cheaper construction.
Getting mixed messages about quality.

So comments appreciated

Never had any problems with my canon 10-22 often used it in place of my 16-35 f2.8 mk2 and quality was just as good to be honest. I am not a pixel peeper though and don’t worry about mtf charts etc. just real word experience having used it since 2013.

Another option depending on budget - look at the laowa 12mm f2.8 love mine to bits on my r5 - would give you true 18/19mm on a crop I guess

Full manual though so worth testing how easy it is to get focus on a crop body, for my r5 I just set it as infinity and don’t worry about it

Bit of a dredge, how did you get on with the 18-150 lens? I've a lightweight R10 sitting here without a lightweight lens, and was considering one of these as a walkaround.

Between ordering the R7 and it arriving I tripped, chipped an ankle bone and damaged a ligament.
So I've been out of action, which is a bit of a b*gg*r

However from playing with camera in garden I'm well please with that lens.

On my DSLR kit I used an 18-135 for 90% of my shots.
I found it quite liberating as previously I'd need two lenses for that range.

So for me an 18-150 is a "no brainer" and I'd say go for it.
