Hey all,
Posting from the Southern Hemisphere. I got recommended here by an acquaintance, and am looking to talk a bit more about photos, and get some thoughts on my work, improvements and failures.
I got started in photography about 18 months ago: I lived in an off-beat, off-the-beaten-track part of Australia and when I went for long walks I enjoyed the abusrd things I found and the nature I would see. I've made a lot of mistakes, but I've been really happy sharing and coming to terms with my own strengths and weaknesses.
This year I moved away from the desert and to the coast, but I think my photography has improved a lot, here are some of my favourite images.
To give you an idea where I've come from, this is the first photo I uploaded, in January 2013, embarrassing:
I'm primarily here to post, listen to feedback, I especially want to get involved in BnW photography and try some long exposures, etc. My work can be seen on two sites:
