Gauntlet Bird of Prey Centre, Knutsford

I have been there.
They had quite a variety of birds when I last visited them.
I think they fly the birds in a field at the back, which would be best for photo opportunities.
If you are planning on going for photos, give them a ring and see what they can offer.
I'm sure they can help you out in some way, but it may come at a small charge.

Visited there a couple of months back. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/mackerpics/sets/72157604229778182/)

The weather was abysmally cold and dull and there was the usual problems with dark cages, but they had quite a few birds tethered outside and as Matt says, they regularly fly them in the field behind there.

The staff were all very pleasant and were happy to chat and obviously loved showing the birds off. Some of them have been reared from 'the egg' by the handlers.

For a small charge, they would also arrange for your kids to hold one of the birds.

There was no problem at all with photography but obviously don't use flash ! For the money, it's a great photo opportunity and I fully intend to go back at some point.

Hope some of that's useful :)
