Yes
My mum would like to get my dad a wildlife camera so he can watch the birds at the bird table 40ft away from the house.

My first thought is a battery powered WiFi camera (a bit like a ring security camera) but I’m wondering what other options there are.i thought I’d ask for recommendations on here.

The problem with wildlife cameras of which I have 4 is that the cheaper ones aren't live. I went from very cheap which will give you a low quality picture but can be fun and interesting but must be manually downloaded from an SD card, to my latest that has 4g and can be live watched. Wifi wildlife cameras in general have their own network purely for downloading and not connecting to your home wifi. It can be handy but again not live.
My latest is one of these

You could look at one of these which appear pretty similar to the one I have but are Wifi only of you can get a good signale.

Those look interesting. They want one they can watch live from an iPad and aren’t bothered about photos.

I found this:

To be honest I’m starting to think a ring outdoor battery operated security camera will probably do what they want it to do.
