Hi All

A quick question; has any had any experience of using a gaming mouse - one with programmable buttons - for image editing in PS or LR?

Just wondering if possible - using the programmable buttons as shortcuts.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

I have used a gaming mouse for exactly the purpose you mention. I have not thought about using the buttons for shortcuts though. When I want to do precise work I reduce the mouse movement to its slowest dpi. I personally have found I get a lot more control that way than I ever could with a tablet.

For me this is my preferred method - others will prefer a tablet.

I use a gaming mouse with 12 odd buttons on it and it's great. It has different profiles (5 i think) and i've setup button profiles for LR, PS, desktop use and actual gaming ;). Very useful and compliments other input methods (tablet + midi controller).

Thanks for your input - which mouse have you used?

I've got a Logitech gaming mouse too for precise control. Never allocated the buttons, hadn't thought of it.

Thanks - it is the 700s that I have been looking at.

Weighing it up against using the Wacom express keys remote.

Will let you know how I get on.
