does anyone here use this?

i've been after a site where i can search for photos with a paypal option came across this have a couple of questions

how easy is it to use?

ie can you upload 100's and sometimes 1000's of photos

and is it any good really was all else i wanted to know

am basicly selling sports photos and need to get a search going by race number and event would this work???

You can certainly use this for what you want.

I use it for family snaps, it's ideal for what I need but if I was to use a site for selling photo's I would probably opt for a open source shop or a something like Joomla or Drupal heavily modified but it tends to require a little more than HTML and a bit more CSS, PHP and MySQL in the way of skills.

Gallery 2 can be modified and a template applied that you want, but this too you would need the skills as above.

Most of the gallery web applications tend to require a database and setting them up on a virgin site can be a bit tricky.

Have a look also at Coppermine(another Gallery) and OS Commerce (online shop).

Otherwise if your host gives you free open source software the setup of Gallery 2 is easy but you will need a secure payment method Paypal is the easiest to setup and the customers don't need to have a paypal account.
