I noticed tonight that the exif data from my camera is showing the actual focal length of pictures; up until a couple of weeks ago it was recording the 35mm equivalent focal length. Examples: a shot I took with the 100-400mm lens showed a focal length of 600mm, and a shot I took with the 18-55mm lens today showed a focal length of 18mm.

I must have changed a setting somewhere but I'm not sure what. Camera is an X-T30. I haven't done any firmware updates or anything recently... anyone got any ideas?

I don't think that there is a setting that affects the EXIF data. As far as I know, the EXIF data contains both the actual focal length and the 35mm equivalent. I've not looked at the EXIF data but Lightroom shows both numbers.

You can mount a manual lens. That will alter your EXIF data.
I've got a couple of manual lenses, and I've set the focal lengths of them in the mount adaptor menu, but when I've got a Fuji lens on those settings are ignored.

It doesn't really matter, I just thought it was odd that it's changed.

I have just checked this on my Fujis (in Lightroom) - on the X-T2 you get both, but the 35mm equivalent is labelled:

However, the "Focal Length 35mm" field is empty on my X100V.
