Hello everyone,

I have recently got myself into the Fuji system with an Xt1. I have just ordered the battery grip and I'm trying to hunt for a second battery. Ideally an official/genuine battery but they're difficult to come across (unless I'm looking in the wrong places). So what are the best 3rd party makes? I can't really stretch to the newer version of the battery found in the xt2 either.
But I don't want to get a make that isn't up to par.

So what is everyone's experiences with 3rd party batteries in general? It doesn't have to be specifically Xt1 related. I just want to find a make/brand that's reliable and good quality.

:plusone: for ExPro. IIRC the white version is allegedly better but since the black ones do what I need them to, that's what I have.

Ex Pro White is supposedly better Sir, and a little more expensive. I've used and still use both types and have never found a difference in the performance from either the White or Black versions.(y)

George.

Ex-Pro are reliable and hold their charge well. I agree with George, but tend to use White just in case ... :)

I have a feeling that the white ones are better under heavy continuous load (4K video?) than the black ones. Have a look through the X-T1 etc. thread - I'm sure it's been discussed in there.

Thanks everyone. Definitely going to be investing in their Fuji replacement batteries. Probably going with the white only a few quid more so seems sensible to go for those. Only downside is they don't have a D3 battery in stock, but they're easier to find originals of.

Thanks again for all the recommendations for ExPro, it's genuinely really helped me out.

I had a Chillipower once. It swelled up. But I suppose any brand can have a fault.

I've just been to Oulton Park. I shot 1630 JPEGs on one Expro white battery that wasn't fully charged to start with. 2 bars showing still. If I could remember where go to find the % remaining I'd die a happy man.
Shooting JPEG on continuous high speed bursts. I reckon that's not bad.

Edit...found the % value and it says 48% left - if that's accurate that's pretty damned good.

Damn... That's awesome, man.

Sorry. I think the % display is only on the T2.
I think this is the first time I've used it in anger!!!
