Hi all ...

Anyone here successfully for any third party speedlights working off camera with wireless triggers.
( not their TTL units )

Any tips and makes / brands etc that do work ok would be appreciated ..

I'm using a Godox AD-360 & 4 x V850's triggered by the Godox triggers which work well.

Used a couple of flashes and one trigger in Burma and Thailand in October with no issues with the heat etc, also mix them with Bowens in the studio with no problems at all.
 
Any manual flash system would work. There's great recommendations above for manual remotes you can adjust from the camera position.
 
Damian Lovegrove uses the fuji system, he recommends the Cactus R60 i think it is with the V6 triggers,, have a look at his clip from illumination dvd
 
I've used pocket wizards to fire sb900s remotely, but any manual trigger and flash should work
