Fuji Finepix HS10 cat experiment

Hi Guys,

I just took delivery of a Fuji Finepix HS10 today and took a couple of photographs of the neighbours cat out my bedroom window to see how good the zoom was.


The 30 x optical zoom blew me away, i also took a few pics with a 300mm Nikon lens on my D80 (not shown as i deleted them accidentally) and i would say the finpix gave a marginally better result.

You can just see the cat on the lawn in the zoomed out pic, both pics were taken handheld without a tripod.

suitably impressed and blown away....and it will do a 16:9 format
its quite a camera...could be the one to stop my frenetic search for a dslr

erm...good depth of field at that length
thought their would be more compression
