NO FUEL DAY - Monday 19TH November 2007

The UK government's further tax increase on fuel has taken the average price of unleaded to the £1 a litre barrier!

DON'T PAY TAX - DON'T BUY FUEL

Monday November 19th has been formally declared "NO FUEL DAY" and the people of this nation should not buy a single drop of fuel that day. This really does work. Because of the HUGE revenues generated by fuel, the tax is paid DAILY. Just one day of action will seriously hit Government cash flow! You can make a difference. If the government don't get the message after one day, we will do it again... and again! Without taking action the price per litre will continue to rise.

Remember, not only is the price of fuel going up but at the same time airlines are forced to raise their prices, road haulage companies are forced to raise their prices which effects prices on everything that is shipped. Things like food, clothing, building materials, medical supplies etc. Who pays in the end? WE DO.

You can do something! If you send this message to just 10 people, and they forward it to 10 people… and so on, by the time it has reached the 6th generation, then this message will have been seen by 20 MILLION people! So, send it to everyone you know...

Make The Commitment, on Monday 19th November: DON'T BUY FUEL - DON'T PAY TAX

Media, Press and Television are respectfully requested to publicise this to the fullest

what do you think. i,ll have a go.

The people that make decisions just laugh at rubbish like this. Over the space of a week every petrol station will sell the normal amount of fuel it is completely irrelevant and pointless.

The only thing that would do it is direct action like last time when it was 15p a litre less !

what we need is 'buy as much fuel as you can day'
thats pretty much what we had last time and it worked very well!
The only thing that emptied the petrol stations of petrol was all the panic buying.

i dont think it,ll do much to be honest. but a bit of publicity certainly cant hurt. film news of empty forecourts etc.
direct action is never gonna happen again.
i,ve definitley started filling at asda /tescos etc to keep my fuel costs down. if i can ever afford to change my motor, its gonna be a dinky toy 1000cc jobby.my f in laws kia picanto does about 60 mpg around town.my bike only does 46 mpg.admttedly , just a tad quicker.
i,m even thinking of using the little kia pride i,m doing up for my daughter , selling my escort.

It is simply too late now , we have passed the psychological £1 barrier.

The only thing this will do is cause traffic queues just like before and a few people will be severely affected by ambulances/fire appliances not being able to get to them in time.

It's just another one of these crappy email things ...

Send this to 10 people and then your leg won't fall off and you will get lucky withing 16 minutes ... type crap!!!!

I agree with the need for industrial action mind - robbing us blind on petrol costs. Fortnightly trips up the A1 to visit family & friends are costing me a fortune!!!

Anth

we need another lorry protest or another oil refinery blockade, not buying fuel on a particular day is laughable as "action"

why does the british government set out to **** OVER the people of britain

Somebody keeps voting this government in.

The government need to fund their wars somehow, I say lets all volunteer to pay an extra 10% on all our fuel to help them out :)

Wondered why I was arsing about as much, should have sent those damn emails.

dont forget this isnt just the price of filling up. this is the price of everything we buy.
everything that gets transported will go up in price, everything that is stored somewhere with heating will go up.. it will all go up.

Buy a V8 engined car now while there's still fuel to run the damn thing...lol

Oh and did I mention I only pay €0.51 a litre still? (local prices range from €1.13 to €1.16 per litre, and boy are the Germans getting cross!...lol)

NO FUEL DAY - Monday 19TH November 2007

sorry guys but if there ain't no queue I will be filling up, yesterday the queue at my local petrol stations was stupid. Unfortunately I need fuel to do everything so I hav no choice but to fill up, and if its empty then even better...

sadly we voted them in on policies that havent come to fruition, then again, nobody voted the current bloke in cuz hes a money grabbing twit

Speak for yourself.I didnt vote for them.
Infact, more people in the UK didnt vote for them than did.

Whoooooo! I've successfully not bought any fuel TODAY.. because I filled up YESTERDAY!!!!
I can sleep tonight knowing I've contributed NOTHING!

The only way is a full boycott, but we will never do that!!!! soft as ****e us brits when it comes to protesting about anything... we should draught in some French people... they know how to protest!!!!!!!

I filled up. If I don't, I don't make the money I need to live. :|

Why was the email from Truck drivers complaining about petrol being £1 a litre

Personally I couldn't give a rats about it.

But diesel @ £1.06.9 a litre, thats just taking the **** :annoyed:

What's this about a pound barrier iv'e been paying more than that for optimax/vpower for ages.

What choice do we have:shrug:
Need fuel to power the car to get to work to earn the money to buy the fuel to power the car to get to work to earn the money etc etc.
I just shop around a bit and buy as cheap as I can, do over 1k miles a week and am starting to feel the pinch but just have to carry on.:shake: Will definately look into LPG

i did my bit. havent filled up for a week.
i did get a e meither yesterday suggesting that everyone boycotts the biggest petrol provider for a year, hitting their pocket and forcing them to reduce prices. the other providers may then have to drop theirs.
its a shame i cant remeber which chain it was. b***er.
