I'm trying to work out why this is an issue. I've got the Lencarta Safari and the new wireless triggers for it. A mate has a Godox d300 head (similar to Smartflash) and whilst the head will trigger, on the test and from the shutter, the control system doesn't work as expected (power control, beep, etc).

Either I'm missing an obvious function on the flash head, or the triggers are different (whilst they look identical). So does he need a new set of Godox triggers, am I an idiot, or is his light faulty?

Just a guess, but the GODOX FT16 may be a previous model with different settings.
If the transmitter is talking to the receiver (firing the flash) then they are both on the same frequency - but are they on the same channel? The flash will still trigger even if they aren't.
And what is being displayed on the LCD? if it's a fraction, i.e. something between 1/1 and 1/128 then it's in the hotshoe flashgun mode, not the studio head mode. Push and hold the SET button (which may be called something else on the FT16). The old model has 2 options, the new one has 3. One of them should work.

Garry, it's the Lencarta trigger set. But the answer was of course 'me, being an idiot', missing the different modes.

So why does the Safari use they 'hotshoe flashgun' mode?

Thanks! Once again Garry saves the day.
