I store all my files exported from Lightroom in folders on my desktop, and until recently it all went fine. Now I click on the file and all I get is a message saying

C:\Users\Jerry\desktop/Exports from LR2024\ filename.jpg - "Not implemented".

I can get round this by closing everything down and restarting the PC but that's a pain to say the least!

Edit: it only seems to happen with photo files.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

My immediate thought was that the file association had gotten lost and the reboot resolved.

Googling sort of confirmed that, on this case for .doc file,

Quite why the file association fails is still open to question.

My suggestion is, by way of getting details, is that whilst it does open......check the file association is 'pointing' to the preferred program. Then when it errors again....before making any changes or rebooting, check to see if file association is still ticked and points at the preferred program?

PS what program normally opens when you (double) click on the .jpg file?

Just an update on this. The problem re-occurred several more times so I contacted Microsoft support. They sorted it for me by updating windows 10. I hope this will be a permanent fix.
Thanks for the update & fingers crossed:)
