I re-installed Photoshop CS2 onto my D drive from C, as it used to work better on D, so it now is faster again.

When I did it, I chose to save my settings, so I didnt have to piddle about afterwards reinstalling plugins and actions etc.

However, for some reason, when I edit a RAW file in Lightroom now, get it looking quite decent and punchy then send to photoshop for editing, even though it says "edit a copy with the lightroom settings" when I open it in CS2 is is all sort of hazy and flat and not like the copy I thought I was bringing across from Lightroom.

Anyone any ideas?

Colour space settings? Double check in both Lightroom and Photoshop that they tally up still.

Yeah they do marcel. still the same as they were when it was on the C drive. some of the things I do dont work right either. i can do a sharpen then when I say ok...it sort of half sharpens not fully.

Its odd. perhaps i should reinstall it again

It is unusual to install on a seperate drive, and in my experience can cause all sorts of little anomolies.

If you already know this I appologise :bonk:

The setup that has always worked best for myself and others I know, is to install to the default folder on the OS drive and then only import images to a seperate internal drive, set that drive up as scratch disk 1 (unless you have a third).

Also assigning more ram in the preferences and cutting down the amount of history states helps to speed things up too.

Mike.
