Hi all, just wanted to say hello from my corner of Wiltshire.
Been shooting (of a different kind) for a number of years but lockdown then Covid / Long Covid has kept me from the sport. I rekindled my passion for photography last year and picked up a drone and D7200 which have been great to encourage me getting out and about.
I’ve used photography as a really good aid for my mental health during my recovery and made a book at the end of 2021 to document my first year’s progress.
I’ve also started a website so friends and family can be kept up to date and pretend to be interested in what I’m snapping and I feel like I’m doing something useful with my spare time.
I might end up selling some of my guns & associate kit to go mirrorless as there’s a big appeal with the increased functionality of the back screen and live histograms and it would feel another step towards a new me, rather than hanging on to a sport I’m not going to compete in any longer.
Anyway, looking forward for what I can pick up from the boards here.
