Wow, they're excellent, he must have the patience of a saint.

Andy

Wow they're quite cool, must take him a fair few shots to get the one he's after though.

That is very effective. Would love t know how it was done as it looks like some serious damaged could be done to those people if they're throwing themselves around:lol:

...sure its not done by wires? one of them looks distinctly like hes got a harness on..

I would have thought that her hair would have been a bit more crazy were she pulling this stunt? http://denis.darzacq.revue.com/hyper/photo1.html I reckon there are wires or something also and they are cloned out or something. Nice photos though!

I think is what he was trying to capture! was it not?

..what?

Well, her clothes seem to be in motion, plus, if she were on wires, surely her hair would be hanging down?

Mmmm, is it just me or is anyone else not overly impressed with these? I think the vast majority of people on here could do what this photographer has done, all you need is a fast shutter speed and a couple of volunteers willing to throw themselves round a supermarket late at night.

Or am I missing something? :)

Inclined to agree Colin. Also, there are one or two where they look liked they'd crack their heads open when they landed. Or was a mattress cloned out in photoshop? :suspect:

I think they are interesting and a different way to show dance, however I would not have guessed he was using dance or sport people to make these pictures with out reading ohhweewee post first.

If you look at the book Stills 1984-1987 by Lord Snowdon, he has done the same thing with dance people, but I think in a studio and throwing themselves around.

How difficult would it be taking the shots of each person in a white studio, then superimposing into the shot.

Theres someting about the point of focus, lighting and position that doesnt quite add up in a few of them

Nice idea, given the no of dancers I've been shooting in the studio lately I guess I'll matte together some suitable shots.

Just need to match the lighting and focus etc and see what you all think of the results....

I'll be interested to see how these turn out...

Surely it's about the art, and not about the technical quality of the photographs? That is, the point isn't that "the vast majority of people on here" could do this, it's that none of them thought to do so and therefore the concept is his?
