Freeview Channel Question

A very parochial question. I'm hoping to get Mustard TV on channel 8 but despite retuning twice the channel doesn't appear in the listing. My Google search suggests I should be able to receive it as we use the Tacolnestone transmitter so any suggestions from the TV experts on TP much appreciated.

Some of the local TV channels are broadcast at a low power rating, perhaps where you are it's too weak to receive?

Thanks for that. Is there any way of checking easily or does the fact that a retune doesn't pick it up mean it's too low for me to receive?

Also to check are you receiving you signal from the main transmitter or a relay transmitter - if it's the relay, there's a chance it won't be transmitting it...

Are you receiving Pop or QVC Extra? If not, then you aren't receiving anything on that multiplex. It broadcasts at a tenth of the power of the main multiplexes so it will be harder to receive.

Have a look at your aerial. If the little aerial brackets (or whatever they're called) are in the horizontal plane, then you're picking up / should be pointing at the main transmitter, if your they're vertical then it's to the relay.
