So I just moved into a new house and it has a satellite dish. So i bought a Freesat box off Amazon to use rather than the TV aerial which doesn't seem to tune too well.

Problem is, the Freesat box has 1 satellite input but the dish has two connectors. I've tried both in the box, it tunes to the point where I can see all the channels in the guide, but I get a no signal error when trying to view any of them.

Is the Freesat box just incompatible and I need to get one with two inputs?

*Edit* turns out I have a sky q dish which is incompatible with this box. Ah well

You shouldn’t need two inputs on the box, you have a dual LNB which means if you had a two I out box you can watch one channel and record another.

plugging any of this connectors to your box should work.

I have an old Sky dish working with my Humax Freesat box with no issues. Have you check the cables, if they have not been used for while they may be tarnished, i which case remake the connections. Perhaps you may need a new LNB ?
