Yes

While doing the Saturday morning thing (not a lot:)) I came across an article advising what you are entitled to when you get old.

This one made me laugh.
You are not eligible for a free UK passport due to receiving the state pension; eligibility for a free passport is based on age, not state pension status, and you can get a free passport if you are a British national born on or before September 2, 1929.

The State Pension and passports are separate benefits, and you will need to pay the standard fee for a passport unless you meet the age criteria.
So if your 95 years old your on to a winner. Russ.

My mum got a free Passport, signed certificate and a Medal for her service in the Womens Land Army during WW2
Came about 50 years after the war ended, and she didn't fancy travelling anywhere by then.

I don't think that it is an age criteria it is a birthdate criteria. Apparently it recognises those who went through WW2
So in 20 years time I will still have to pay
