free editing software for mac?

Im curious about any free software available for basic editing on my macbook. I have The GIMP downloaded but really really don't like it at all! Not sure if its just because its not designed or written to be used on a mac or is just like that anyway.

I basically want to dabble with making panoramic pics for fun nothing too serious.

Any help much appreciated! :thumbs:
 
I think the GIMP was designed for the mac originally, or Linux, can't remember.

Anyhoo i use it a fair bit and do find it awkward a lot of the time but for simple/normal photo editing using levels, curves, contrast, saturation etc it is just as easy as photoshop.

The RAW editor i find very bad and can't use it as most of my images look well over saturated and too much contrast in most white balance options.

I have just ordered Elements 6 for Mac at £47 (Amazon) to compliment Lightroom 2 so i should now have all i need without having to use the GIMP.
